Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer. This position requires travel to project sites, with assignments varying based on job and client needs. Per diem is available for those who qualify.

In this role, you will provide day-to-day construction management, coordination, and monitoring of site contractor work activities, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule compliance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage assigned construction engineers in your discipline.
  • Provide input on construction plans and evaluate their execution.
  • Monitor construction methods and ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Lead contractor performance reviews and coordination meetings.
  • Resolve contractor coordination conflicts in line with the project schedule and contract terms.
  • Ensure responsive engineering support for contractor needs.
  • Monitor quality, costs, and schedules, reporting variances and mitigating negative impacts.
  • Oversee contractor safety performance.
  • Execute contractor quality audits and surveillance plans.
  • Support startup testing and commissioning activities in line with the project schedule.
  • Coordinate commissioning support labor with contractors and managers.
  • Validate contractor progress for payment processing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in industrial, healthcare, datacenters and process electrical systems.
  • Seven+ years of construction management and/or commissioning experience in datacenter, healthcare and industrial sectors.
  • Willingness to work on-site and relocate periodically for domestic and international assignments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent project planning, leadership, and teamwork skills.
